The "Pilots of the Caribbean" a well established flying group based at White Waltham are looking for two new members to take an active role in the ownership and flying of our two delightful aircraft.
G-AREL our classic 4 seat Piper PA-22 Caribbean has recently been extensively refurbished including zero timed 150hp Lycoming, new fabric and professional paintwork reverting back to her original 1960 colour scheme. Rugged, practical and now handsome, this aircraft has been the mainstay of our group for some years.
G-CDZR our 2 seater HN-700 Menestrel is a more recent addition to our group and was featured on the front cover and airtest of the LAA Magazine in Feb 2011. The Menestrel is a pretty French designed tail dragger, built along similar lines to classic Jodels, and brings fun, low cost flying to our group.
We are a friendly, well run group with the benefit of a member who is also an experienced instructor at White Waltham.
Low time or newly qualified members are welcome.
Both aeroplanes are delightful to fly with good payloads and short field performance.
Costs are also very reasonable with a monthly cost of £90, and hourly costs, based upon tacho time, of £80 (PA-22) and £40 (HN-700).
